Welcome to Gurukul Veda

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Gurukul Veda website, mobile applications, and services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Sashikunja Educational Services LLP ("we", "us", "our"), with its registered office at 2nd Floor, Vanadarshini, No.17, 7th Main, Indiranagar - 2nd Stage, Bangalore, Karnataka, PIN 560038, India.

By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility & Accounts

  • The Service is intended for students, parents and educators in India. Users below 18 must use the Service under the supervision and consent of a parent or legal guardian.
  • You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. We are not liable for any loss arising from unauthorised account access caused by your failure to protect your credentials.
  • You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information during sign-up and to keep it up to date.

2. Service Description

Gurukul Veda provides an AI-assisted learning platform including chat tutoring, quizzes, flashcards, voice tutoring, syllabus-aligned content and related educational tools. Content is generated with the help of large-language-model technology and is intended as a learning aid — not a substitute for formal classroom instruction or professional advice.

3. Subscription Plans & Billing

  • Gurukul Veda offers Basic plan with one-time fee for lifetime and paid Growth/Premium monthly subscription plans. Pricing, inclusions and limits are shown on our Pricing page and may be updated from time to time.
  • Paid plans are billed in Indian Rupees (INR) through our authorised payment gateway partner. All applicable taxes (including GST where applicable) will be charged as per Indian law.
  • You authorise us to charge your payment method for all fees incurred. If a payment fails, we may suspend access to paid features until the dues are cleared.
  • For subscription renewals, you will be notified in advance as required by RBI e-mandate guidelines.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, defamatory, or fraudulent purpose.
  • Upload content that is obscene, violates intellectual property, or discloses someone else's personal information.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the API or infrastructure.
  • Share your account with others, or use the Service to train competing AI models.

5. Intellectual Property

  • All content generated by Gurukul Veda (including AI responses, infographics, cinegraphics, quizzes, and flashcards) is provided for your personal, non-commercial educational use.
  • The Gurukul Veda name, logo, and branding are trademarks of Sashikunja Educational Services LLP. You may not use them without prior written consent.
  • You retain ownership of any content (questions, uploads) you submit, but grant us a limited licence to process it solely to deliver the Service.

6. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

AI models can occasionally produce inaccurate or outdated information. Always verify critical academic information against your official textbook or teacher. We are not liable for any academic or financial outcomes resulting from reliance on AI-generated responses.

7. Data Protection & Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use and safeguard your personal data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

8. Refunds & Cancellation

Refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

9. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms. If any deliberate sharing of login ID & passwords with others are found, this violates the basic norms of the agreement and account will be terminated immediately.

You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete Account; paid dues (if any) up to the date of deletion remain payable.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted under Indian law, the total aggregate liability of Sashikunja Educational Services LLP arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service shall not exceed the fees paid by you to us in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bangalore, Karnataka.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
